Privacy policy
This describes what DugoutDeck collects and how it is used. It is a practical summary for coaches and families—not legal advice. You may want a lawyer to review before a large rollout.
Who we are
DugoutDeck is a web application for managing youth baseball team rosters, games, lineups, and stats. The operator of your deployment (for example, the league or the coach who pays for hosting) is responsible for how the app is offered to you.
Information we process
- Account data — Email address and authentication data (passkeys / WebAuthn credentials). We do not store traditional passwords for passkey-based accounts.
- Team and player data — Names and game-related information you enter (for example roster, attendance, batting, fielding, scores). This may include minors’ names.
- Walk-up audio (optional) — If you upload MP3 files for player walk-ups, those files are stored with our file hosting provider and linked from your roster.
- Cookies and similar technologies — Session cookies for signed-in users; an optional demo cookie if you use “Try demo” while logged out.
- Technical data — Standard server and analytics logs from hosting providers (for example IP address, user agent, timestamps) as configured in your environment.
Why we use it
We process this information to run the service: authentication, team isolation, game and roster features, email for sign-in and account recovery, and optional real-time updates in the browser.
Subprocessors and hosting
Depending on configuration, data may be processed by infrastructure providers such as: hosting (for example Vercel), database (for example Neon Postgres), transactional email (for example Resend), file storage (for example Vercel Blob), and realtime messaging (for example Pusher). Your deployment’s administrator controls which providers are enabled.
Retention and deletion
Data is kept until your team or deployment administrator deletes it or closes the account. Requests to export or delete personal data should be sent to whoever operates your DugoutDeck instance (we do not operate a single global “support desk” unless you contract for one).
Children and schools
The product is intended for use by adults (coaches, team admins) who enter information about their players. If you are a parent and have questions about your child’s data, contact your team’s coach or league.
Changes
We may update this page as the product evolves. The “last updated” note at the bottom reflects the latest in-repo revision; your operator may show a different date if they customize this text.
